Saturday Sports Show on Fly Live

Saturday Sports Show on Fly Live

In Nottingham, sport is a somewhat way of life, it can make or break someone’s weekend.

At Fly Live we are passionate about sport, and  we want to discuss the opportunities our station offers to people, including our weekend sporting programme, the Saturday Sports Show!

What is the Saturday Sports Show?

The Saturday Sports Show is one of the most popular shows on Fly Live. It has been running on the station for years and as you may have guessed, it’s a show that takes place on a Saturday, where people chat about sport. The Show begins at 2pm and runs for three hours until 5pm.

Who can get involved?

Anyone can get involved; regardless of who you are, if you love sport, come on the show!

What Sports do you talk about?

Any Sport! In recent weeks, we discussed topics including the huge boxing match between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder, Formula One in what is proving to be an exciting race for the Constructors Championship between Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton, and of course all of the footballing action.

We have talked live scores, managers being sacked, Fantasy Football and for the Manchester United vs Liverpool game on 24th October, created a combined starting 11 from the two teams!

However, we are always looking for people to come on to discuss any sport – Netball, Swimming, Rugby, Rowing, anything!

We are also looking for people from NTU’s Sporting Societies, whether that’s members or presidents, to come on the show to talk about their team. How they are getting on, events coming up for their societies and even how people can get involved with the clubs!

Do I have to stay for the whole three hours?

You can stay for however long you like!

If you want to come on for the whole show, that’s absolutely great but if you cannot take part for the whole three hours and can only do a segment of the show, that’s just as fine.

It sounds great! How do I get involved?

Every week, our Head of Sport, Ross, puts a message out in our Fly Live All Members Group, regarding the upcoming show. All you have to do is like or comment on his post.

If you are not a member of Fly Live already, make sure to come join us, we are always looking for new members but make sure you have paid for your membership (If you have any further question don’t hesitate to ask, Ross’ contact details are down below.)

So if you are passionate about sports come down on a Saturday afternoon, it’s a great laugh and it gives you the opportunity to meet new people and talk about the sports you love most!
