The Overview
Fly Live is Nottingham Trent University’s official student radio station, broadcasting to all of our campuses and over 30,000 students.
Fly started as Kick FM in 1996, initially broadcasting twice a year on FM. Since 2007, we have been on air every day of every term covering various events; whether it’s Varsity, the NTSU Elections or anything else in and around Nottingham. In November 2013 we moved into a new studio in the heart of the SU, and that same month took home 5 Gold student radio awards.
From September 2020, Fly Live entered the new smart-speaker era, moving away from FM listening and developing the ways in which we can connect to you, our audience. All you’ll need to do is ask your Smart Speaker to “Play Fly Live”!
