Nottingham Night Light 2024 creates attraction for the city
The event returned to Nottingham on February 3 and 4 with events and illuminations.
Nottingham Night Light 2024 included 29 venues across the city using various light-up displays relating to our culture.
Locations such as Old Market Square, Nottingham Castle and Sneinton Market were transformed for the two night event.
Alex Flint, Chief Executive Officer of Itβs in Nottingham, said: “Nottingham Night Light has been growing in popularity over the years and has become a highlight of the city’s cultural calendar.”
“It is a great way to experience Nottingham in a new and exciting way, and creates a lasting impression on those who attend.”
UV Paint Party
The National Ice Centre hosted an event on Friday 3 February to mark the Nottingham Night Light with a UV paint party.
It was a skating session that included disco lights, popular music and paint blasters, meaning clothes got very messy.
The event had a great atmosphere and was very popular amongst skaters and non-skaters, friends and families.
Old Market Square
The most popular light display was at Old Market Square where the council house was also illuminated to match the theme.
Our beating heart was the mirror heart-shaped sculpture which also included a soundtrack by local DJs Jez Prince X HAZE.
The spread-out locations of the illuminations meant that you could make an evening of visiting the Night Light displays whilst exploring different places in Nottingham.
Here are the highlights of the other lights and displays across the city.
